Born and raised amidst the natural beauty of Northern California, my formative years were spent exploring the surrounding forests. Following my time at Cal State Chico, where I founded a non-profit organization to support international students, I pursued a career in mental health counseling in the bustling city of Chicago. I got married and dedicated five years to providing guidance and support to both individuals and systems in need.
The arrival of two kiddos marked a new chapter in my life, coinciding with the Dark Years (aka COVID). Seeking solace and new opportunities, my family and I made the decision to relocate to Portland, where I have since served as a Professor of Psychology, a Learning and Development Specialist and as a Freelancer. These unique experiences have lit a fire in me to continue down the path of carrying for others in their personal and professional endeavors through education and content design.
